Giving Thanks: Senior Care Content Specialists Clients

November 21, 2017

Holiday client appreciation

Over the past almost six years, SCCS has grown from a two-gal crew to a team of ten! And we are grateful every day that clients like you place your trust in us.

Each November we donate to a few charitable organizations in honor of and with appreciation for our fabulous clients. Instead of another fruitcake you might only use as a doorstop or illegally shipping you a bottle of wine, we chose non-profits to receive the money we would spend on holiday gifts.

And 2017 has been a crazy one hasn’t it?

As someone whose college stomping grounds included Charlottesville, Virginia, the horrors that unfolded there earlier this year were too much to comprehend.

In a world seemingly gone mad, our crew decided our goal this year would be to help progress the efforts of organizations dedicated to promoting tolerance and protecting our most vulnerable.

Setting politics aside, we chose two groups who do just that.

Giving Thanks and Promoting Tolerance

Donating to SCCS Clients

While the name would lead you to believe they work only in the south, the truth is they go wherever help is needed. From representing those discriminated against to teaching tolerance at the community level, we’re proud to support the efforts of the Southern Poverty Law Center.

A Voice for Kids Across the Country

SCCS Client Appreciation

This organization is a long-time favorite for many of us at SCCS. As the name implies, they protect and defend children. Whether it is ensuring the CHIP program was reinstated after Congress failed to renew it (a huge victory!) or finding ways to keep kids in crisis in school and actively learning, the Children’s Defense Fund has been a voice for children since 1973.

Peace and Joy to You and Yours

Again, thank you for the opportunity to work with you in 2017. From our team to yours, Happy Holidays! And all the best for 2018.

Shelley
