Content Thought Leaders

February 6, 2013

If you read my blog regularly, you know I’m a big fan of a few other blogs out there. At the request of several of my clients, I’m going to try to regularly share some of the best articles I find on SEO and Content. Keep in mind… I am something of a nerd when it comes to this area. With that in mind, I PROMISE to try to include only those articles that don’t require you to have an IT or SEO background to understand!

Fingers Crossed

(I may or may not be crossing my fingers while I type this… Just know I am trying to stick to my promise.)

Here is  my first crack at it! I will also include videos that might help you make sense of all things SEO and content related.

  1. Matt Cutts Talks SEO Quality Check Up. I’ve been pretty vocal in my thoughts about Matt Cutts. (In case you’ve missed it… I think he’s cute in that should’ve been nicer to the science and math guys in college kind of way.) This video is one from last fall. He talks about why Google doesn’t release an SEO Quality Check Up Calculator. Good question. Good answer.
  2. Google Warns SEO & Businesses to Avoid Fake Reviews. This is a brand new one from our pals over at Search Engine Watch. As reviews become increasingly more relevant to revenues, businesses may be tempted to cheat. Here’s why you shouldn’t…
  3. 4 Steps to Panda-Proof Your Website (Before It’s Too Late!) Two years later and we are still talking Panda… This article addresses the most recent updates. It will also help reinforce the wisdom of the senior care companies that have hired an industry expert to develop their content. It is an investment that pays for itself many times over.
  4. What is Quality Content: The Road to Panda Recovery This is by Brian Ussery on a new blog I’ve discovered. It really offers you some best practices to keep you out of trouble with The Panda.
